My goal this year is to live it for me!
What I mean by that is I intend to listen to myself more: my desires, needs, goals in life; and I intend to focus on bettering my overall well-being. This comes in the form of more self-care routines, more meditation and daily yoga practices and more time reflecting on how I am feeling overall.
My mantra during stressful life moments will be to meditate more and make it a priority in my day. When you feel you don’t have time to meditate is when you need to meditate the most. So concentrating on clearing your mind and focusing on the present moment (a mindfulness technique) will allow you to become focused and reduce the stressors surrounding the situation. I plan to practice yoga daily to reduce my anxieties and help me cope with stress more.
I aim to read more, spend less time on social media and connect more with my community. I hope to try a lot of new things this year, including ganja yoga and relaxing in a float tank (yes, there’s a studio in my neighbourhood I plan to check out soon!)
I also want to starting making videos, of different diy projects of mine! Simple, easy and handy natural products you can make at home that will sustainable and eco-friendly! Also would be nice to film my first trip to a zero waste shop in the city!
I feel this year will be a year of many “firsts” which both excites and nerves me. Either way, I welcome 2019 with open arms and slightly nativity as I go with the flow and aim to better my overall well-being this year.
