12 | Some (w)itchin’ outfits.

Since fall has officially arrived, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share with you some of my favorite fall-inspired fashion trends and styles.

I’ve always used Pinterest as a source of inspiration behind building my seasonal wardrobes. Fall is that time of the year I feel my most inspired to put together the best and coziest (witchin’) outfits I can think of. I love layering and using textures to add cozy elements to my outfits. Also, I love long, flowy sleeves and feeling like I’m wrapped up in a blanket. So honestly, I’m just my true form during the fall months.

I figured since this would be the last blog post before #spooktober (heh), I would theme this week’s blog around all my favorite fall fashion trends and styles. Below are just a few of my favorite fall-inspired fashion trends and styles that I hope will inspire you to think of some of your favorites!

Plaid

Personally for me, plaid screams fall!

I’ve always been a plaid lover and I feel at one point all the button-up shirts that were in my closet were oversized flannels. But I digress…

What are some ways you bring plaid into your fall wardrobe?

When fall comes around, I get to break out my plaid blanket scarf and all my shirts to create the ultimate fall uniform. I love pairing a plaid shirt with a cord or leather skirt, and I love wearing an oversized plaid shirt with leggings and wool socks to that “cozy by the campfire” look. It’s truly the most comfortable outfit when you add some plaid flannel, in any form.

(Faux) Leather

I always get excited for the crisp air so that I can break out my leather jacket.

Fall weather and (faux) leather are just the absolute perfect pairing, along with a warm blanket scarf. I’m a gal who will wear leather all year round, but it’s so fun to use a (faux) leather skirt or pair of pants as your centerpiece for your fall outfit.

Is fall when you break out your leather pieces as well?

I have about 2 or 3 (faux) leather skirts, about 3 pairs of (faux) leather pants and I want to say about 3 (faux) leather jackets … so you could say leather is probably my favorite to work with and the focal point in the majority of my fall looks.

Layers

I love the summer for being able to throw on a t-shirt dress, slip into my birks and go, but fall layers are just the best outfits to make. The weather doesn’t always need a jacket, but showing shoulder in the fall would make you a tad bit chilly.

What are some of your favorite pieces to layer during the fall months?

I’ve always been a fan of a button-up shirt under a chunky sweater, or layering a dress up with a t-shirt and/or cardigan. Just anything to feel like I’m completely bundled up and giving off cozy vibes. Plus, it’s the season where you can ADD more layers when it gets cold… (unlike the humid, sweaty summer months where wearing your “birthday suit” out in public would just be inappropriate.)
