Lest we forget.

The First World War ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month (November 11, 1918).

On this day, we remember all those who sacrificed their lives in battle during the war.

At the eleventh hour, let us take a moment of silence to remember those Veterans.

… to remember their courage and bravery
… to respect what they did for their country
… to appreciate their lives and the lives they allowed us to have
… and to honor their memory and never forget them.

Veterans want Canadians to understand the price of freedom. They are passing the torch to the people of Canada, so the memory of their sacrifices will continue, and the values they fought for will live on in all of us.
